Summary of Practice

Marie practised as a solicitor in private practice for 12 years, 6 of which were at partner level.  Her civil litigation practice evolved with an emphasis on family and child law.  She called to the bar in 1996 and has developed a practice in which such areas are predominate.  She has extensive experience of all aspects of litigation concerning divorce, financial provision, cohabitation, civil partnerships, and all aspects of child law, encompassing complex jurisdictional issues and human rights elements, petitions for adoption, freeing orders and social work referrals.  In addition she has developed an interest in social work referrals with a contentious medical component including shake/impact injuries in infants.  In the two years to end 2007 Marie has experience of more than 130 court days of evidence in such referrals.
