Personal Injury Litigation; 

Instructed in Employment-related and Road Traffic Accident cases.  Experience of brain damage cases/ paraplegia.  Familiar with industrial disease cases, especially asbestos related, including claims on behalf of relatives after death.

Professional and Clinical Negligence; 

Acted for Consulting Engineers defending claims alleging negligence in the course of building projects.  Instructed on behalf of mortgage lenders in actions against Chartered Surveyors in cases of negligent over-valuation of security subjects.  Pursued cases of clinical negligence and Solicitors' negligence cases.

Fatal Accident Inquiries and Health and Safety Prosecutions; 

Represented various parties at FAI's in medical accidents and in fatalities in the building, mining (British Coal), and chemical industries (ICI) and in defending prosecutions under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Contractual/ Commercial/ Property Disputes;

Business disputes including claims under commercial leases, cases for finance and asset leasing companies in recovering money and plant/ property on breach of agreements.  Has also dealt with title disputes and servitudes relating to heritable property/ securities.
