Summary of Practice

After 20 years as a court solicitor (the last two as a civil solicitor advocate) Christopher Kelly was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2003. Already holding vast experience of pleading a very wide range of different types of cases in the sheriff court and before tribunals, since coming to the bar Chris has continued to expand his areas of practice. Equally at home in Scotland's sheriff courts as he is in the Court of Session and with a clear appreciation of the problems and pressures facing solicitors in their day-to-day practice, Chris strives to provide a service as a “problem solver” for those solicitors. Whether the case involves a court appearance, a consultation with a “difficult” client, drafting or reviewing written pleadings, or providing a written opinion, even at a very late stage, Chris is happy to take it on and remove the problem from the solicitor's crowded desk.
