Summary of Practice
Andrew is currently serving as an Advocate Depute.
He is editor of Session Cases, the official series of Scottish Law reports and a part-time visiting lecturer at the at the Universite de Nancy 2, France.
He was Clerk of the Faculty of Advocates from 2003 to 2009, and Standing Junior Counsel to the Department of Trade and Industry and its successor departments from 2000 to 2009.
Andrew had a broad-ranging junior practice with an emphasis on commercial, company, insolvency, property and administrative law.
He is experienced in advising on all aspects of property law, from planning matters through to leases, title and conveyancing issues, and also on trusts and succession.
His experience in administrative law includes licensing and planning matters in addition to being regularly instructed by the Home Office in immigration judicial reviews.
Each year from 2000 to 2009 he was recommended in the Legal 500 as a commercial junior eg
