Summary of Practice

Pino was a solicitor in private practice for about 10 years before coming to the bar. As counsel, he has extensive experience in commercial and property work at all levels of courts up to and including the House of Lords.

He has experience of managing long running and complex litigations involving substantial volumes of documents.

He has a particular interest in mediation as a form of alternative dispute resolution. He obtained accreditation as a mediator from CEDR in 2004. He has acted as counsel for parties in commercial cases which have been successfully mediated to settlement.

He also has extensive experience as an advocacy skills instructor in Scotland and eleswhere.  He was the Faculty's Director of Training & Education for a period of four years when he had responsibility for delivery of the training programme for devils (pupil advocates) and the administration of the Faculty's CPD programme.
